Artist. Musician. Engineer.
I always started out wanting to create art. After A levels in design technology, mathematics and, of course, Art, in which i chose to explore sculpture more than anything else, i fell into the skill of becoming an engineer. Unfortunately i gave up art for many years to concentrate on music as my creative outlet, becoming a rather good upright bass player. But then something clicked. I wanted to get back into art, more specifically, painting. Always practicing, life drawing, painting, sketching. I came to a point where something needed to change.
I had always had a great reverence and interest in classical art and its techniques so i decided to study oil painting at the Edinburgh atelier of fine art and the Norfolk Painting school and instantly became hooked.
And so continues my journey of exploration into contemporary themes using the classical and traditional oil painting techniques of the old masters.
